The 2025 Higg FEM is Here: How to Get Ahead of This Year’s Assessment

As the end of the year approaches, it’s once again time to start thinking about measuring your and your supply chain partners’ environmental and social impact. Starting November 6, the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM) will be available to use. Here’s a quick overview of a few key changes (many more to be announced soon!), including the launch of the Worldly Collaboration Suite, plus important dates to remember and tips from getting started to successful completion.  

Worldly Collaboration Suite replaces the Adoption Tool

All Worldly customers have access to the Adoption Tool, but this year we’ve got a new and improved way to help brands engage with, and drive adoption among, their supplier-partners. The new Worldly Collaboration Suite is replacing the Adoption Tool as your one-stop-shop for empowering your suppliers to successfully complete their Higg FEM. 

What this means for you

• More Segments, fewer spreadsheets. Create dynamic or static facility groups by geography, tier, language, business volume, and more. Dynamic segments update themselves as suppliers’ status changes.
• Campaigns you control. Campaigns are action-oriented engagement vehicles designed to drive facilities to a specific outcome.
• Year-over-year visibility. See each supplier’s full history across Higg FEM, FSLM, and more, including posted data and verification status—giving you the information to better engage with every single facility.
• Multilingual support. Standard campaign emails are auto-translated into our core languages; facilities can also use their browser to translate assessment content.

Learn from top-performing brands’ best practices

Data from the Worldly platform shows that brands who do certain things see better Higg FEM completion rates from their suppliers and facilities. Tips for a successful Higg FEM: 

• Begin with the end in mind: Use last year’s completion, data quality, and peer benchmarks in the Insights Hub to define what success looks like this year for each supplier.
• Segment intentionally: Prioritize by tier, geography, or business relevance to maximize impact.
• Communicate consistently: Brands that communicate consistently and often, using templates from the Collaboration Suite and their own emails, and that are clear about expectations and requirements see 80 percent, 90 percent or even higher adoption rates. 

2025 Higg FEM Important dates at-a-glance

Here are some key dates to add to your calendar as we approach the start of the assessment data collection time period: 

• November 5: Make sure to join our deep dive webinar to learn all the changes and new developments for the 2025 Higg FEM. 
• November 6: FEM 2025 is available; The Worldly Collaboration Suite is live for all brand users.
• April 30 (recommended): Industry-standard target many brands still use for posting FEM data, even though this is no longer required. 
• 60-day unposting window: Facilities can un-post for 60 days after reaching ASC (not once verification has begun).
• October 31 (each year): Final day to purchase the previous year’s FEM.
• December 31 (each year): Final day to post the previous year’s FEM (no 60-day un-post beyond this date).
