As outlined in United Legwear and Apparel Co’s Compliance and Quality Assurance Manual, all tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers are required to complete the Higg FEM self-assessment to help identify and prioritize potential opportunities for facility improvements. The verification must be completed by a SAC approved Verifier Body to ensure sustainable improvements are implemented and all questions about the self-assessment are addressed.

By completing these assessments, suppliers will be able to:

  • Demonstrate leadership in the industry and commitment to sustainability
  • Understand the social and environmental impacts of their facilities
  • Identify opportunities to improve facility performance
  • Benchmark your results against industry peers
  • Easily share the results of one assessment with numerous customers and value chain partners.

If you have any questions about the FEM & FSLM requirements, please contact sustainability@unitedlegwear.com.
