On November 2nd, Worldly and the SAC will launch the Higg FEM 4.0 – the industry’s most comprehensive environmental assessment, transforming the way your company collects data. 

Save time with one assessment

This year, when your company uses Higg FEM 4.0 to report data, you’ll notice there are more questions to help you report a fuller view of your indirect and direct (Scope 1 and 2) emissions. This can prevent your company from needing to complete additional assessments outside of Higg FEM 4.0. 

Report only relevant data

Higg FEM 4.0 includes more logic-based questions. This means your company will only complete questions that are related to your facility’s processes and functions, or your performance. For example, if your facility processes require a relatively small amount of water, you will only answer questions designed for low water users. Or if your facility is only focused on finished goods assembly, you’ll answer different questions than a facility focused on material production. 

The assessment also addresses more questions focused on the industry’s most pressing environmental issues. For example, you’ll notice new questions on groundwater and soil contamination, the phasing out of coal and fossil-fuels, and approach to carbon offsets and rainwater harvesting.

Guidance when and where you need it

We’ve embedded question guidance throughout the assessment, so you have question-by-question support right and where you need it – no need to refer to external guides. Another feature we’re excited about will help automatically spot any potential errors in your data entry. Based on thousands of historical data points from previous assessments, your facility profile, and your prior submissions, we’ll highlight data that might not look accurate. You’ll be able to review and fix data as you complete the assessment. This will give both you and your value chain partners more confidence in the data you’re reporting.
