Cecilia Chan is the Chief Commercial Officer of Legend Swimwear Factory. Legend is a full-suite swimwear provider for world famous brands and retailers.

Legend started as a swimwear factory in 1995. Founded in Hong Kong, originally focusing on the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) business, Legend has since grown to become the trusted swimwear delivery partner for world famous fashion brands and retailers. With production plants in China, Vietnam, and Cambodia, Legend delivers not just cut & sewn for 15 million units of swimwear each year, but also a full-suite of swimwear solutions. Legend has deep expertise in swimwear execution, fashion forward design capability, water and air treatment for fabric printing, virtual 3D sampling, and sustainable manufacturing advisory.

Cecilia has a background in management consulting and a specialisation in organisational change management. Her career spans across the fashion & apparel, aviation, insurance, hospitality & entertainment, telecommunications, and government industries. She is passionate about sustainable and purpose-driven fashion. She helps organisations lower the negative environmental impact of apparel manufacturing whilst staying commercially relevant in the market.

Dr. Thiwanka De Fonseka is the Chief Sustainability Officer at Komar. He oversees and leads environmental sustainability and product sustainability pillars at Komar, focusing on decarbonization, water quality, chemical management, waste management, sustainable raw materials, sustainable packaging, product circularity, etc., internally and in its supply chain. Dr. Thiwanka de Fonseka's career combines expertise in environmental science and chemistry with a commitment to sustainability, circularity, and innovation.

Before joining Komar, Dr. Thiwanka de Fonseka held executive roles in ZDHC, M&S, and MAS Holdings. He has contributed to significant advancements in sustainability practices, emphasizing practical solutions for complex environmental challenges. Known for his ability to work under pressure, tackle difficult challenges, and think outside the box, Dr. Thiwanka de Fonseka continues to drive Komar's commitment to ethical and sustainable business models.

Bethan has spent seven years in the packaging and sustainability space in retail, with developing sustainability strategy for both UK and global brands. Prince2 Project Management qualified and educated at Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership (CISL), Bethan specializes in ESG strategy at Checkpoint driving environmental impact reduction, legislation, and compliance, as well as advisory for customers. She has most recently has taken up the position of Co-Chair of the Sustainability Community at RAIN Alliance.

Jonathan Salmon
Head of Sustainability, Li & Fung

Jon leads the Sustainability department at Li & Fung. His primary role consists of driving suppliers and customers’ environmental performance and compliance on different key areas such as decarbonization, water savings, chemical safety, product LCA, ESG related regulations, etc. His team is composed of several environmental experts, completed by a team of generalists (social + environmental) located in production countries (shared with the social compliance department). Jon is part of the Li & Fung ESG committee, where he coordinates the annual reporting for the company and its subsidiaries, and manages different stakeholders’ requirements (CDP, Ecovadis, etc.). Prior to working with Li & Fung, Jon was working for the retailer Etam where he initiated the sustainability journey, and worked in sustainability across different industries before that: green buildings and energy efficiency, hospitality, airlines. Jon holds a Bachelor’s degree in environmental geography and a Master’s degree in sustainability and environment.

Kevin Vranes is the Chief Product Officer for Worldly. He is a highly accomplished software executive, most recently involved in launching and leading the build-out of Salesforce's Net Zero Cloud product. With a Ph.D. in Geophysics (Ocean and Climate Physics), he brings 20 years of experience in Earth, environmental science, and energy management. Kevin has also spent 20 years in technical software, from development to product management. He has held executive roles in cleantech startups and leadership positions in software product management, contributing to the high-tech, cleantech, and energy/environmental sectors.

James Schaffer is Chief Strategy Officer at Worldly. He oversees business development, client services, partnerships, and corporate development. James’s career synthesizes business leadership and growth through innovation and partnerships, and a profound commitment to social impact and environmental sustainability.

Before joining Worldly, James co-founded Schaffer & Combs, a consultancy that served purpose-driven organizations. James has led engagements with leading sustainability organizations, including Cascale, Aii, ZDHC, BlueSign, WRI, B Lab, Rainforest Alliance, and Outdoor Industry Association, and dozens of social sector organizations.

Adele Stafford

As the Chief Growth Officer at Worldly, Adele Stafford drives revenue and market expansion by aligning product innovation, strategy, and customer acquisition efforts. She oversees data-driven growth initiatives to scale the business while adapting to evolving consumer trends and technological advancements.

Adele brings twenty years of experience working at the nexus of design, technology and strategy to Worldly. Prior to joining Worldly, Adele’s work focused on overseeing account growth and business strategy as the VP of Accounts for Blue State and Director of Client Services at Frog Design, She also spent time working in a marketing strategy role for organizations like the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Adele is a practicing studio artist and hand weaver whose work is deeply rooted in sustainable fiber agriculture. Over the past ten years, this work has culminated in a project called Voices of Industry, a survey of the cultural and agricultural context that informs our domestic textile supply chain.

Adele is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Art and Simmons College with a Master of Business Administration.

The Worldly Customer Forum is designed for executives and practitioners from global brands, retailers, and manufacturers. If you manage sustainability, sourcing, or procurement at a large manufacturer, brand, or retailer the Worldly Customer Forum on September 18 is for you.

The Worldly Platform Experts Program Workshop on September 19 is designed for users from the supplier community that complete the Higg Index assessments on the Worldly platform. This practical training workshop will provide hands-on learning on how to make the most of Worldly and the Higg Index facility assessments.

The forum will be conducted in English. Closed captioning will be available via the event app.
