As part of Dunelm’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, they request all Tier 1 facilities to complete the Higg FEM2023 and all Dunelm Key Suppliers to verify their Higg FEM2023 (you will have been notified by Dunelm or your Tier 0 if this includes you).

A message from Dunelm’s Director of Commercial and Supply Chain, Faye Atkins 

Dear valued supplier,

For true sustainability, we must be looking at all aspects of a products life cycle. To do this, we have reviewed our carbon footprint and have found that >35% of our Scope 3 footprint comes from manufacturing alone.

To monitor and tackle the carbon footprint from our manufacturers, we have signed up as members of the SAC and will be using Higg Facility Environmental Module to review our supply chains carbon, water, wastewater, chemical and air footprint.

We now ask that 100% of our Tier 1 suppliers (assembly of final product) sign up to the Higg FEM for the next data collection period (cadence) which starts in November 2023.

There is a cost involved in adopting Higg FEM which varies depending on the facility. We have held a kick-off webinar to support your FEM adoption, please view the recording here.

Failing to complete the Higg FEM assessment this year will result in negative scoring as part of your Dunelm Supplier Scorecard. The scorecard is used by the Dunelm Commercial team as a factor for future business decisions.
