Brand and licensing teams are reporting more — and doing it with more systems than ever
Across the brand and licensing industry, sustainability and compliance expectations are intensifying. Companies are being asked to report on environmental performance, demonstrate social compliance, and meet increasing retailer standards — often using different frameworks, formats, and platforms at the same time.
The result is familiar to anyone working in sourcing or compliance: duplicate data requests, inconsistent supplier responses, and teams spending more time managing reporting logistics than acting on what the data reveals.
That’s the problem Worldly and Products of Change have come together to address.
A partnership built around connected, consistent data
Worldly has partnered with Products of Change, the purpose-driven membership organization supporting the brand licensing industry on its sustainability transition.
The collaboration brings together Worldly’s established supply chain intelligence infrastructure with Products of Change’s cross-industry network. The goal: reduce duplication, standardize data requests, and create clearer, more interoperable pathways for exchanging supply chain information across product categories.
“Brand and licensing teams are being asked to report more, disclose more, and act faster, often across systems that weren’t built to talk to each other,” Drew Hillman, Senior Manager, Partnerships at Worldly, said. “Partnering with Products of Change lets us bring credible, comparable supply chain data and intelligence to a community that’s ready to use it. That’s how the industry moves forward together.”
What the partnership will deliver for the licensing industry
Worldly and Products of Change will develop category-specific and community-wide programs that bring consistent environmental and social data standards to the licensing industry. These programs will span the full value chain, convening manufacturers, brands, retailers, and licensees around shared priorities:
- Data collection standardization across product categories
- Benchmarking facility-level environmental performance using the Higg Facility Environmental Module, which is stewarded and governed by the nonprofit global alliance Cascale, and other industry-recognized methodologies
- Improving supplier communication and reducing reporting fatigue
- Creating interoperable pathways for exchanging primary supply chain data
“This partnership reflects a shared ambition: to move our industry from fragmented approaches toward a much more aligned system with standardized measurement – one that enables the businesses of all shapes and sizes across our community to track progress, meet requirements, and accelerate their impact,” said Helena Mansell-Stopher, founder and CEO, Products of Change. “Products of Change is so proud to work together with Worldly to continue to support the industry on its sustainability transition and action real, meaningful and measurable progress at scale.”
Why aligned data standards matter now
Regulatory requirements are expanding across jurisdictions, retailer expectations continue to rise, and brand standards are growing more specific. Companies that rely on fragmented, one-off data collection processes are finding it harder to keep pace — and harder to demonstrate credible progress to the partners and regulators asking for it.
Shared infrastructure and consistent measurement frameworks help address that directly. When suppliers submit data once, in a standardized format, and brands and licensees can access comparable performance insights across their supply chains, reporting becomes less burdensome — and more useful.
That’s the operational case for this collaboration. Not reporting for reporting’s sake, but building the foundation that makes compliance, risk reduction, and supplier improvement all more achievable.
Join Worldly and Products of Change on May 13
To mark the partnership, Worldly and POC will co-host a webinar on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 16:00 BST / 11:00 EDT. The session will explore how greater alignment across data systems can unlock reporting efficiencies, reduce duplication, and enable more consistent, actionable insights across supply chains.
Register for the webinar here to connect with industry peers and hear how more connected supply chain data systems can reduce reporting duplication for brand and licensing teams.
Building a more connected industry, together
No single company can solve the challenge of fragmented data alone. Progress on supply chain transparency and compliance requires shared standards, consistent tools, and industry-wide collaboration among manufacturers, brands, retailers, and licensees. Worldly is proud to lead the charge for collective progress across the industry through ongoing partnerships and collaborations like this one.
